Local Placements
Once you have selected Diamond Personnel, Canada's Best Nanny Agency, our highly skilled consultants will assist you in outlining your expectations and requirements. Every job is unique and every family is different. Our agency will create a job description for you. We work quickly to find you candidates who rank in the top ten percent of their field. Caregivers are available on a live-in or live-out basis.
Since we do a superior job of screening, the selection process is easy. We will not waste your time. We schedule interviews at your convenience, in your home or our office. A comprehensive list of interview questions is available to assit you.
Salaries for live-in nannies vary from province to province. Please contact our staff for more information.
Diamond Personnel has a 95% success rate, thus it is rare that we need to replace our caregivers. But in the event that this is necessary, we work expediently to honour our guarantee.
Live-In Caregiver Program
Overseas caregivers come to Canada through the Live-In Caregiver program. They are required to live in their employer's home for a period of 24 months. Live-in nannies work approximately 48 hours per week. Salaries vary according to province. Employers are required to keep payroll records and make all remittances to Revenue Canada and WSIB, and abide by all Provincial labour laws.
Since 1992, Diamond Personnel's Director, Audrey Guth, has been actively recruiting caregivers from our overseas affiliates. Diamond Personnel is one of Hong Kong's only licensed Canadian agencies. We partner with a placement agency in Ecuador to source superior candidates. To date, we have successfully placed over 2,500 caregivers from abroad. We have placed caregivers in every province in Canada, including Nunavut and The Yukon Territories. Our staff travel to Hong Kong every eight weeks to consult with applicants. We also provide in-depth orientation and training seminars for new recruits, preparing them for their new life in Canada.
We understand that hiring a nanny you have never met is anxiety provoking, but we assure you that our thorough screening process allows us to provide you with profiles that contain extensive information about our candidates. We are confident that the depth of our profiles will provide you with more information about your prospective hires than if you had interviewed the candidates in person!
We insist that you conduct a phone interview with your prospective caregiver to ensure that there is a personality match. This will provide you with confidence to make the right choice. Keep in mind that our expertise is matching the needs of the family to the talents and personality of the caregiver, and we have been doing so successfully since 1989.
All candidates must undergo a complete medical screening, thorough reference checks and obtain police clearances prior to their arrival in Canada. Our staff assists with all travel arrangements and paperwork to ensure that your new caregiver arrives safely. Our caregivers have at least 5 hours of agency training prior to arrival.
We are so confident in our placements that we provide a one-year guarantee. In the rare event that our clients are not satisfied with the candidate they have selected, we will work expediently to find a replacement.

Eldercare - The Diamond Difference
At Diamond Personnel, we offer an alternative to institutionalized care. Our Eldercare Program allows seniors, persons with disabilities and individuals with special needs to remain in their own homes while receiving optimal personalized care. This means that you or a family member will receive one-on-one care from a high-quality and experienced caregiver. Many of our caregivers will also assist with household duties such as cooking and cleaning. This level of personalized care is not available in any public or private long-term care facility.
Our professional consultants listen carefully to your needs, and then create a unique job description that meets your individualized requirements. After identifying qualified candidates, we will schedule interviews at your convenience in your home or in our office. Our office is open Monday to Saturday, and we will happily accommodate you and your potential hires for an interview at any time.
Our candidates are dedicated and committed to working as a caregiver. All of our applicants have several years of experience working with the elderly, and many have completed specialized geriatric training. All our applicants meet stringent criteria. We verify all references and assess all candidates. We only represent top candidates with solid work histories and positive references.
Diamond's eldercare companions and Personal Support Workers (PSW) are skilled, experienced and passionate about caregiving. Most consider housekeeping and meal preparation a part of their job, so you can be assured that you or your family member is receiving the quality and extent of care that is required. Most of our candidates work five days per week. If necessary, 24-hour care and weekend relief can also be arranged.
