Personal Note From Our Founder
Dear Clients,
In 1988, what began as a personal quest to find the perfect nanny, evolved into what is now an award-winning agency and a story I am proud to share with you.
With four children, a dog, a career and a husband who was equally committed to his business, I needed to source — what would quickly become — one of the most valuable persons in my life. I contacted nanny agencies only to be presented with immature, inappropriate candidates with poor English and no experience with children. I was surprised that there were no professional agencies to service working mothers like me. I left my career as a Public Health Nutrition Consultant to create Diamond Personnel Inc. in 1989.
I believed that if I provided parents with the same level of service they would receive from an executive search firm, coupled with my knowledge of parenthood, success would soon follow. I had so much to learn! Placing nannies successfully requires one to be a psychologist, social worker, tax accountant, clairvoyant, marriage counselor, legal advisor, advocate, human resources specialist, child behaviour educator etc. I was excited that every family came to us with a unique set of circumstances. My passion grew by leaps and bounds and so did Diamond Personnel Inc. One constant throughout the years was my commitment to excellence through a compliant and ethical business practice. We have weathered changes in policies and laws, reinventing ourselves to adapt. Through innovation and transformation we never wavered from our core values. Families need to know that they have the best care for their loved ones and that they have an agency they can trust!
Our company has grown from around the world. We have placed caregivers in every province in Canada and recruited talent from many countries abroad.
In 2007, my daughter Shauna joined the company as the Director of Placements and Operations. I am confident that she will carry on the company values and service at least for the next 20 years! She has raised the standard on what a quality caregiver is. Under Shauna’s direction, Diamond will always set the standard for excellence in household help and professionalism. Shauna’s commitment to exemplary service for her clients has been recognized by winning the Best Nanny Agency of the Year for the past 15 years.
In 2008, we established an organization called the Nanny Angel Network. With the help of our incredible volunteer nannies, we provide free childcare to moms undergoing treatment for cancer. We also provide breast health awareness education and specialized grief and bereavement training to the many nannies in our program.
I must thank my wonderful secret partners. To my nannies, Josie, Angie, Sandy, Julie, Emylou and Lourdes, without your help in raising my children, running my household and giving me the peace of mind to leave home every day with confidence, I could never have accomplished my dreams.
I thank you for your interest in Diamond Personnel and welcome you to our website. We look forward to assisting you in your search for the best caregiver for your family.
Warm Regards,
Audrey Guth
