Service Canada Introduces New LMIA Fee

June 2014
Effective June 2014, Service Canada introduced an obligatory, non-refundable $1000.00 to review Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications. The fee is paid directly to Service Canada, and will be processed upon submission of each LMIA application. It is necessary to obtain a positive LMIA in order to hire a live-in caregiver.
